Marie Anna Chiasson, 88, of Cheticamp, passed away peacefully May 6, 2010, at Sacred Heart Community Health Centre, Cheticamp.
Born in Cheticamp, she was the daughter of the late Timothée and Colombe (Boudreau) Chiasson.
She lived in worked in Sydney for many years. She will be sadly missed because her house was always open to friends and family.
She is survived by a son, Cyril (Margaret) Chiasson, Sydney; two grandchildren, Shane and Erica; many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her husband, Charlie Chiasson, two sons, Neddie and David, brothers, Joe, Thomie, Père Anselm, Willie Mose, Thaddéo, Anselm, Cyril, and sister, Rose Bourgeois.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Peter's Church, Cheticamp, with Fr. Peter LeBlanc officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
