YANKOW - Harry Eugene, age 52 of Hodgeville, passed away April 28, 2009, at the Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. The family service was held at 1:00 p.m., May 3, 2009, from the family farm with immediate family attending. Harry is survived by sister, Margie (Fred) Mackow; brother, William Jankow; sister, Audrey (Derek) Yankow; brother, Murray Jankow; sister, Jeanette (Denis) Marleau; sister, Frances (Murray) Grey; siste,r Theresa (Bob) Hartke; and brother, Peter (Lori) Yankow; nieces and nephews, Danny Mackow, Murray Mackow, Rhonda (Leroy) Geib, Denise (Jody) Keen, Richard (Teresa) Marleau, Patrick (Christina) Marleau, Pamela (Andy) Knickel, Darrin Yankow and Janelle Yankow; great nieces and nephews, Tricia, Nathin, Eric, Travis, Lee Ann, Briskow, Josh, Tyler, Landen and Brodey; and great great niece Jasmine. He was predeceased by his mother and father, Harry and Mary. Harry was born in Vanguard Hospital on October 18, 1956. He attended school at Hodgeville and worked on the family farm, helping other relatives and neighbour on their farms. “Tools and more tools, Harry enjoyed working with all kinds, building miniature farm equipment, detailing and customizing cars (especially his sister Frances’s car) and trucks and farm equipment. Harry and his brother Bill built landscape attachments for his John Deere Utility Lawn Tractor. Harry also enjoyed playing with family members pets and his favourite were his farm kitties. Harry liked to watch the farm show for information and the speed channel for fast car and old cars. The youngest of nine children, Harry was a go-getter and a go-to guy for many things. All the brothers and sisters and neighbours called him for advice on tools, equipment, TVs and TV Dishes. Harry knew how to fix things as simple as a faucet to setting up an air seeder. When Harry was born, he hit the ground running, many times he hurt himself running into things or biting his tongue. Harry liked to bartend for family get togethers and special occasions. Drinks, food and chips, “What you need,†he would say. His special request to his brothers and sisters was to remember him as he was when he was alive. Harry always had a hug when you came and a hug when you left, instead of say goodbye to any family, Harry would always say, “LOVE YOU ALL AND TAKE CARE OF EACH OTHER.†Harry always had special hugs for his Mom when she was with us.
