The passing of Ernest "Ernie" Boudreau, husband of the late Elizabeth (Cleveland) Boudreau, of Stanley, NB, occurred on Friday, April 30, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on March 24, 1924 in Beresford, NB, he was a son of the late Willie and Laura Boudreau. Ernie worked for the Courier Service and was employed as a Lineman for CN for 20 years. He was affiliated with St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Stanley, NB and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 80. He enjoyed watching hockey (especially the Montreal Canadians), playing fiddle when he was younger and spending time with his grandchildren. Ernie is survived by his step-daughter, Lynn (Jack) Levesque of Stanley, NB; grandchildren, Lori, Rob, Chris and Larry Giberson, Jackie (Dana) Bignell; great grandchildren, Crystal Vali (Jason) of Stanley, Beau and Brooklyn Giberson and Gregory Bignell; great great grandchildren, Shelby, Kierra, Katie and Austin; sister, Elvina (Louis) Dugas; other relatives, Tanya and Amber-Leigh Clark of Mississauga, ON. In addition to his wife and parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Romeo and Cloris Boudreau.
Although there will be no visitation, a Funeral Mass will be held from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Stanley, NB on Saturday, May 15, 2010 at 10:30 am with Father Aaron Knox as celebrant. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 80 are asked to assemble for a Tribute Service. For those who wish, remembrances made to the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 80 or to the Lung Association of New Brunswick would be appreciated.
