CARIBOU - Pansy W. MacKay, 77, of Bonny Rd., Caribou, passed away suddenly May 12, 2010 at home.
Born in the Magdalen Islands, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Sylvia (Clarke) Prest.
A member of St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, Pansy was also a dedicated member of Princess Rebekah Lodge #4, Pictou, and a senior sister of Theo Rho Girls Club. She was past president of Department Association, L.A.P.M. from where she received the 'Decoration of Chivalry', in October of 2009, and held memberships in Dryden #2, L.A.P.M., Westville, the Order of the Eastern Star, Westville Chapter #24, and the Caribou Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary.
Pansy is survived by sons, Robert L., Caribou; Paul, Brooks, Alberta; and daughter, Roberta, Ottawa, Ontario; grandchildren: Trevor, Elisha, Katelyn, Cody; and great-granddaughter, Brianna; sister, Audrey MacLeod, Pictou.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Sunday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will take place 11 a.m. Monday from St. James Anglican Church, Pictou. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.
