The death of Frances Cathleen Toal occurred unexpectedly on Friday, May 14, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1937 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late John and Sarah (Vautour) Gaudet. Frances was an active member of St. Andrews and St. Davids United Church. Frances worked at the Saint John Regional Hospital in the Burn Unit until her retierment in 1997. Surviving are John Toal; daughters June (Raymond) Wooden, Lisa Toal
(Lenny) all of Saint John, Carol (Brian) Bailey of Bloomfield and Debbie Jones (John) of Barrie, ON; sisters Betty Hay (late John), Marie (late Ronnie) Davis all of Saint John; Joyce (Don) Olson of Florida, Sandra (Clinton) Speight and Carol (Doug) McKiel both of Brown's Flat, Gail (Gill) Fugere of Ottawa, ON; Gena Skidd (David), Miramichi and Barbara Moore (Ivan) Sudbury ON; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her daughters Darlene Toal and Sandra Roy, sister Doreen Hayes.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Monday, May 17 from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, May 18 from 2 to 4 and 7to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at 11 am.
