NEW GLASGOW - Fay passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at the Aberdeen Hospital after a long battle with lung cancer.
Fay was predeceased by her parents, Ethel and George Vacheresse; husband, Tom; and sister, Shirley.
She is survived by longtime companion, Murray MacKay; son, Will (Janice), grandsons: Andrew, Zac, Carter, all from Airdrie, Alberta; son, Tom Blaine, grandsons: TJ, Matthew, Jason; sister, Mary Vern Godfrey and chosen brother, George Vacheresse (Sandy) of Truro.
Fay was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed by everyone. A memorial service will be held at Heatherdale Memorial Gardens on Friday May 21, 2010 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Lara Scholey officiating followed by a short reception at the Elmfield Community Hall.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Palliative care unit of the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton.
