It is with sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Beverly Chiasson of Reserve Mines. Beverly passed away on Friday, May 14, 2010, at her residence.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mabel (Moore) Coffin.
Beverly was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines. She was an employee of Canada Post at Reserve Mines Post Office. She was a former member of the Reserve Mines Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid gardener and reader. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was quiet and hard working.
She will be sadly missed by her sons, Michael Chiasson (Tracy Bennett-Chiasson), Christopher Chiasson (Denise Peori-Chiasson); brothers, Gerald Coffin (Enid), John 'Wally' Coffin (Edith), David Coffin (Anneliese); sister, Louise MacPherson (Percy); cherished grandchildren, Lucy Chiasson, Sophia Chiasson and Emile Chiasson.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Wayne Chiasson (1987).
Visitation for Beverly will be held Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Church, Reserve Mines with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating. Interment will be held in the parish cemetery. A luncheon will follow in the church hall, all are welcome.
Donations in Beverly's memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation or a charity of choice.
