ALINE WLEKLINSKI

Born In: Haillicourt, France
Born: October 18th, 1931

Passed in: North Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
Passed on: May 18th, 2010

Aline Wleklinski passed away peacefully on May 18, 2010 in North Vancouver. She is now reunited with her beloved husband Alphonse who passed away 20 years ago.

Aline is survived by her daughter, Nicole, son-in-law Chris and friends Monique, Marianne, Solange and many family and friends in Canada, France and Poland.

Aline was a gentle, caring person and mother, always impeccably dressed, who loved to tend to her garden and cook beautiful meals from the harvest of her extensive garden in Kamloops. She will be greatly missed.

She was born on October 18, 1931 in Haillicourt, France. She lost her father in her teens and went to work to support herself and her mother. At 20, she married the love of her life, Alphonse, who possessed a great spirit of adventure. In 1952, they moved to Quebec for a better life and, in 1970, moved to Kamloops where Alphonse worked for Lafarge Cement until his passing. They loved to travel and visited several countries including many trips back to Europe.

After she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2004, Aline moved to Vancouver to be closer to her daughter.

We would like to thank all the staff at Deep Cove Lane at Kiwanis Care Centre in North Vancouver who took care of her so well and Tara who provided companion care.
Should friends desire, donations to the Alzheimer's Society of B.C., Box 277, Kamloops, BC V2C 5K6 in her memory would be appreciated.

The Reverend Father Nicholas Forde OMI will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. in Holy Family Parish Catholic Church, 2797 Sunset Drive. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery.
