The death of Rosalie Alma Ganong of Saint John West occurred unexpectedly at her residence on May 20, 2010. Born in Hampton on April 20, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Howard B. and Sarah H. (Jenkins) Ganong. Miss Ganong had been employed with the Canada Revenue Agency. Since retirement she was active in the Superannuates Association. She was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening, and needlework. Rosalie always had a plate of cookies waiting for family and friends. Rosalie is survived by two sisters: Marie (Jack) Wetmore of Fredericton, N.B. and Alberta Grainger of Nepean, Ont., niece Heather McGathey, three great-nieces, and one great-nephew. She was predeceased by her parents and niece Susan Chase.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 11 a.m. until service time at 1 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Fallsview Chapel at 1 p.m. Following the service, a time of fellowship will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
