Graham Ernest Lang - 79, Debert, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, May 22, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital. Born November 27, 1930, in New York, he was a son of the late Percival and Ethel (MacLean) Lang. Graham was a life time member of Debert United Church, where he served as treasurer, caretaker, sang in the choir, and was Clerk of Session for about 25 years. He worked at the radio transmitter in Onslow for CKCL, switchboard operator for MT & T and Camp Debert, was a brakeman for the CNR, a warehouse worker for Atlantic Wholesalers, and finally as a laborer at Weskin Inc., in Debert. Graham is survived by his sister, Edith (Leo) Kean, Upper Onslow; brother, Charles (Carol) Lang, Nanaimo, British Columbia; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Colin Lang. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2010, in Debert United Church, beginning at 1:30 p.m., with a Masonic Tribute Service, Reverend Don MacQueen officiating. Internment in Plains Road Cemetery. Reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Graham's memory to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Debert United Church or a charity of choice are welcomed.
