It is with great sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Ben Boone at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Monday, May 24, 2010. Born in Corner Brook, NL, he was the son of Winnie Simms and the late Maxwell Simms. Ben is survived by his mother, Winnie Simms; sons: Ben Wiseman (Joielynn) and Gerard Wiseman (Connie); his partner, Susan Spears and stepchildren: Amber and Tanner. Ben also leaves to mourn his sisters: Maxine (Jason) and Myra (Rex); brother, Max; four grandchildren: Noah, Dustin, Presley and Heidi. Besides father, he is predeceased by his sister, Doreen Boone. Visitation will be held at Sydney Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Visitation will be held in Corner Brook, NL at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel with Major Calvin and Loretta Fudge officiating.
