Donald Malcolm Duffy of Saint John passed away peacefully at The Loch Lomond Villa on May 25th, 2010. Donald was born in Saint John on December 29th, 1930 son of the late Murray M. and Helen (Foshay) Duffy. He was employed as a Pipe Fitter for Irving Pulp and Paper. He was an active member of the Legion #2 Branch. Donald will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years Catherine Lenihan Duffy, children; Donald (Marilyn) of Public Landing, Michael (Bonnie), James, Jean (Steven) Levine and Cathy (Jeff) Gray all of Saint John. He is also survived by his sisters Connie (Raymond) Mott, Winnie (Charles) O'Hara, six grandchildren, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his brother Murray G. Duffy, sisters; Elsie Holt and Mae Lynch.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. Saint John West (634-1701) with visiting on Wednesday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Monsignor Sheehan presiding at Castle Funeral Home with reception immediately following the service. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery at later date. Donations to The Loch Lomond Villa Foundation, The Assumption Church Building Fund or a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by his family.
