Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family at his home on Thursday May 7, 2009, Hayward Newhook, age 85 years. Predeceased by father, Reginald; mother Charlotte; two baby sisters, Annie and Sally; brothers Heber and Reginald; sister Emily and grandson Christopher. Leaving to mourn his wife Elizabeth of 59 years and his children Charlotte (Merrill), Bernard (Denise), Perry (Cindy), Norma (Barry), Kay (Rick), 10 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, also a large circle of relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway’s Funeral Home, Whitbourne. Visitation starting at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 9, 2009. No flowers by request. Donations in his memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral service to take place at The Good Shepherd Anglican Church, Norman’s Cove on Monday, May 11 at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at Anglican Cemetery, Norman’s Cove.
