It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gertrude M. Tucker announce her passing at the Corner Brook Interfaith Home on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at the age of 100 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, two sons: Gerald (Doreen) and Courtney (Linda); eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; three brothers: Joshua (Ellen), Hedley (Ethel) and Matthew, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband, James (1964); infant daughter, Claudia; parents, George & Annie Henstridge; sisters: Mabel, Lillian, Hazel and Eva Belle; brothers: Walter, Harry and Nelson. Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 from 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, May 27, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place at the Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street, Friday, May 28, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. with Majors Robert & Cassie Kean officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army Citadel Fund.
