The death occurred suddenly in Terradillos de los Templarios, Spain, on Monday, May 17, 2010, of Linus Gillis of Kelly Drive, Miscouche, age 61 years.
Husband of Faye (Howard) Gillis. Father of David (Tracy) Gillis, Wilmot Valley, and Michael (Jennifer) Gillis, Burlington, Ontario, also survived by the mother of his children, Pauline Cormier. Stepfather of Christopher (Sue) Howatt, Maple, Ontario, and Angela Howatt, Antigonish, Nova Scotia. Grandfather to Luke, Dru, Jack, Brynn and Paige. Brother of John (Ruth) Gillis, Miscouche and Urban Gillis, Slemon Park (friend Jeannie Kelly). Son-in-law of Vera (John) Dekker, Summerside. Brother-in-law of David (Sandy) Howard, Margate, and Linda (Roger) Cole, Fountain Road. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by daughter, Rachelle Marie Gillis; stepson, Aaron Howatt; parents, Raymond and Mary (Gallant) Gillis; and father-in-law, Ralph Howard.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral mass Saturday at the Immaculate Conception Church, Wellington, at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
