Passed peacefully away on May 23, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, Robert William LeMessurier, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his sisters: Ruth Guzzwell (St. John's) and Frances Grant (Corner Brook). Leaving to mourn and celebrate his life are: his loving wife of 63 years, Emily (Grant); daughters: Frances (Mike) Langlois (Picton, Ontario), Margaret (James) Cuthbert (Head of Jeddore, NS) and son, Bruce (Valerie) (Calgary, Alberta); brother, Walter (Nellie) LeMessurier and sister, Cynthia (Roy) Murley, both of Corner Brook, six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; as well as brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bob was a proud veteran of WWII Royal Navy, a member of the Naval Association, a honourary lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a member of the Newfoundland and Labrador Soccer Hall of Fame. He was a kind and gentle man, respected by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Barrett's Chapel on Wednesday, May 26, 2010 at 12 Noon with interment to follow at the Field of Honor, Mt.
