The death of Carolyn (Lynn) Eva Godbout, loving wife of Jacques Godbout occurred unexpectedly on Thursday May 27, 2010 at her residence. Born in 1947 in Campbellton, NB she was the daughter of the late Charles Henry and Marion Catherine (Dobson) Chesser. Lynn was devoted to her family and her church. She was involved in many aspects of St. Joachim's Parish. Besides her husband Jacques of 38 years, she is survived by her children Raelyn Lagace (Etienne) of Fredericton, Lori Godbout of Columbus, Ohio and Kenneth Godbout (Jody) of Moncton; grandchildren Jeremy, Bryan, Payton and Ellie; brother Lorne Chesser (Michelle) of Moncton; sister Donna Arseneault (Michael) of Campbellton; several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son Jacques.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday May 29, 2010 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday May 30, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Monday May 31, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
