KIRK, Lewis Lynds - 84, Camp Hill Veterans Memorial Building, Halifax, passed away peacefully Sunday, May 23, 2010, at Camp Hill. Born January 19, 1926, in Truro, he was a son of the late William and Effie (Sanderson) Kirk. Lewis worked as a sheet metal mechanic and was a veteran of the Second World War. Lewis is survived by children, Glenn, Brian (Margie), Arlene Kirk, all of Ontario; Scott, Moncton; David (Samantha), Ontario; Greg, Miami; daughter-in-law, Debbie Kirk, Nigadoo, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Larissa, Brandon, Shane, Dustin, Jaimis, Crystal, Jason, Michael, Amanda, Jennifer, Amy, Gavin, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Josh, Rachel, Davis, Mitchell; great grandchildren, Tyler, Ashton, Keagan, Sarah, Olivia, Kyla, Amber, Tristan, Travis, Alanna, Callie, Sesa, Vesa; sisters, Agnes Taylor, Truro; Dorothy Frohlich, Ontario; brother, Norman Donovan, Bible Hill; long time friend, Betty Kelly, Halifax; several nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Wayne; sisters, Effie Kubbernus, Edith Hanlan; brothers, Robert, Lloyd. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. Private interment was held in Robie Street Cemetery.
