At the Queen E II Health Centre in Halifax on Friday, May 8, 2009, of Thelma Grace MacTavish (nee MacDonald) of Belfast, in her 79th year. Beloved wife of Sinclair MacTavish. Loving mother of Donald, Lower Newtown, and Malcolm, Stratford. Cherished grandmother of Courtney. Sister of Annalene Strachan, Massachusetts; Marion MacKenzie, Flat River; Albert (Helen) MacDonald; South Pinette; Lucille MacLean, Orwell Cove, and Edythe (Charlie) Gillis, Eldon. Also survived by her sisters-in-law, Dorothy (Dottie), New Hampshire, and Isabel MacDonald, Stratford. Predeceased by brothers Malcolm, William and sisters Mary MacAllister, Lauretta Larrabee and Rubena MacWilliams. Resting at Ferguson’s Montague Funeral Home until Tuesday, then to St. John’s Presbyterian Church, Belfast, for funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment in the Belfast cemetery.
