Born in Margate on December 20, 1917, daughter of the late Chester Cleveland and Ethel (Johnson) Baker. Wife of the late Verdun Bruce Paynter. Mother of Marjorie (David) Wandler, Port Williams, Nova Scotia and Barbara (Jim) Montgomery, Kensington. Special Mamie of Lori (Shawn) Nauss, Bridgewater, Nova Scotia; Darren Ford, Port Williams, Nova Scotia, and Jaime (Chad) Brassard, Airdrie, Alberta. Great-grandmother to Madison, Dawson and Foster. Sister of Dorothy Roper, Charlottetown. Sister-in-law of Jean Baker, Charlottetown, and Vivian Bradley, Grimsby, Ontario. Predeceased by brother Don Baker and sisters Mildred Cooke, Gladys Carruthers and Marjorie Saint. Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Monday from 12:30 p.m. to time of funeral service in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Interment in People’s Cemetery, Kensington.
