The death of Mr. Albert Tucker, age 73, of Moncton, husband of Anna Tucker (nee Mann), occurred on Friday May 28, 2010 at the Georges Dumont Hospital in Moncton. Born in Goshen, New Brunswick, and growing up in Nauwigewauk, he was a son of the late Burpee and Lelia (nee Allen) Tucker. Besides his loving wife Anna, he is survived by his son David Tucker of Winnipeg, Manitoba; his daughter Barbara (Mrs. John Heeringa) of Burlington, Ontario; brother Ken McCutcheon of Moncton; sister Lavinia "Edna" of Scarborough, Ontario; as well as by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters Margaret Porter (nee Tucker) and Mary Traversy (nee McCutcheon); his brothers Art and Lawrence McCutcheon. Albert served the Salvation Army in the early 1960's in Toronto, Saint John and the Norton Men's Home. He worked for N.B. Power and some local municipalities as a labourer. He was an adherent of the Highfield Street United Baptist Church.
Resting at the Highfield Street United Baptist Church, 290 St. George Street, Moncton, New Brunswick with visiting on Monday, May 31st from 3 to 5 pm and 7 to 9 pm. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at the Highfield Street United Baptist Church at 11:00 am with Pastor Jonathan Steeper presiding. Reception to follow at the church. The interment will take place at the Newtown Baptist Cemetery. At the family's request, remembrances can be made to the Highfield Street United Baptist Church or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
