Frank Albert Raggiani of Saint John, husband of the late June (Addison) Raggiani, passed away on Sunday, May 30, 2010 at the Loch Lomond Villa. Born at Boston, Massachusetts, on May 12, 1922, he was a son of the late Albert and Annita (Tasso) Raggiani. In his early years, Frank went to St. John's Roman Catholic School and graduated from Canton High School in Canton, Massachusetts in 1934. In his youth he was an avid baseball player. Frank was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Infantry of the US Army 30th Division overseas from 1944-1945. He was also a member of the Salvation Army. Frank was employed as a Traffic Manager for Emmerson and Cuming Electronics for twenty-five years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #69 and the Disabled American Veteran's Association. Frank was a lifetime member of the Canton Town Club, and enjoyed spending his winters in Florida. Frank is survived by his sister-in-law Josephine Raggiani of Canton, Massachusetts and his brother-in-law Lewis Williams of Saint John, NB, as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife of over fifty years, Frank was predeceased by his brothers, Emilo Raggiani, Vincent Raggiani, John Raggiani and his sister Dorothy Bailey.
Resting at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424) with visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will take place on Thursday at 10:00 AM from Brenan's Chapel. Interment will take place in Massachusetts at a later date.
