ANDERSON - Reynard Alexander of Swift Current passed away January 31, 2009, at the Prairie Pioneers Lodge in Swift Current. The memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m. from Trailveiw Alliance Church. The pianist was Marilyn Ginther and ushers were John Olfert and Gary Argue. Reynard was born on the family farm 5 miles south of Stewart Valley on July 29, 1914. He attended Jorgenson School until Grade 8, Swift Current for Grade 9 and then Stewart Valley in Grade 10. He was united in marriage to Anna Jean Thistlethwaite on November 6, 1937, in Swift Current. They farmed together until 1956, and came to Swift Current to work. They then returned to the farm in 1961, and retired back to Swift Current after selling the farm in 1975. Reynard was involved in numerous church groups and was involved with the Alliance Church in Swift Current, picking up anyone who needed a ride and taking them to church. He loved to read and travel, often using an atlas to plan the next trip or review a trip taken. Reynard also enjoyed refinishing antique furniture and gardening. His children and grandchildren were especially important in his life as well. He is survived by his three daughters, Marilee (Stewart) and granddaughters Sandra and daughter Aste, Rayanne and daughters Priya Ann and Chardae; Lorraine (Mac) their daughter Lori (Randy) and granddaughters Samantha and Alex; grandson Rick; grandson James (Kathy) and Stevi; daughter Brenda (Allen) and granddaughter Sherri (Wayne) and their sons Rhett and Troy, Grandson David. He was predeceased by his parents, Knud and Ingeborg Anderson; and his wife, Anna Jean Anderson. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
