Loved and cherished, Bert Charles Eddy Jr., aged 64 years, passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on May 9, 2009. Predeceased by his father Bert Eddy Sr. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 44 years Mary (nee Whalen); son Paul (Mary); daughter Brenda Story (Ian); grandchildren: Holly, Tyler and Faith; mother Edna; sisters: Margaret Tucker (friend Gerald), Ruth Hawley (Bill), Catherine Sparkes (Jerry), Jean Stacey (Bob) and Phyllis Carrigan (Mike); brothers: Harold (Dorothy), Barry (Sherry) and Donny; sisters-in-law: Lorraine Squires (Mike) and Linda Whelan; brothers-in-law: Randy Squires (Christine), Jim Whalen, John Whelan (Lorraine), Len Whalen (Florence), Tom Whelan, and Pat Whelan; as well as a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Also predeceased by his father and mother-in-law Paul and Eileen Whelan; brothers-in-law: Leo, Paul and Gerard Whelan and Robert Tucker. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, May 11 and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday May 12. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 10 a.m. from Holy Family Parish, Paradise. Interment to follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, St. Thomas Line.
