Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Center, on May 11, 2009, Captain Wilson Simms, age 82 years, Retired Salvation Army Officer. Predeceased by parents Jacob and Minnie Simms, granddaughter Sarah. Leaving to mourn his wife of 47 years Gertrude; sons: Raymond and Darryl (Cathy); daughters: Charlene, Grace, Heather and Bonnie; granddaughter Laura; as well as a number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Ave., on Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. from The Salvation Army West Corps, Mundy Pond. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Rd.
