It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Margaret passed away peacefully on May 1, 2009 with family by her side. Margaret was born on January 24, 1928 in Tisdale, SK. In 1952 Margaret graduated from the Radar and Communication School in Quebec. On September 4, 1954 she married Eric, the love of her life. During her life in Prince Albert she worked at the Victoria Hospital and later at the Eaton's store. In 1974 Margaret and Eric moved to Edmonton and later returned to Prince Albert upon retiring in 1986. Margaret was a lifetime member of the Army, Navy and Airforce Vets, and an Avon Sales Rep. through most of her life. Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and enjoyed bowling and fishing. She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by all. Margaret is survived by her children Tom (Evelyn), Eric, Carolyn (Urban); her grandchildren Angie (Mark), Rick, Karen, Christine, Cindy (Bill), Wesley (Corrine), Marce, Ivan and Alex; her great grandchildren Hailey, Dylan and Madison; her sisters and brothers Agnes, Jeanette and Donald (Karen); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Eric; her son Ken, her parents William and Hannah; her two brothers Bill and John; her 2 brothers-in-law Harry and Milton and her 2 sisters-in-law Beth and Norma. As per Margaret’s wishes, a Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date with Pastor Dennis Serfas, Director Spiritual Care, Prince Albert Parkland Health Region officiating. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to a Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
