The passing of Emma E. Boies of Boiestown, NB occurred at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on June 6, 2010. She was 79 years of age after a lengthy illness with cancer. Born in Taxis River, NB, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Lila (Conroy) Munn. She also was a songwriter; she wrote a song for Desert Storm and was awarded for the song from the US Army. Emma is survived by loving daughter, Linda Lou Boies of Fredericton, Leonard Barry Jr. (Anetta) of Taber AB., Brian Boies (Betty Weston) of Lincoln, and at home John Boies of Boiestown. Two granddaughters, Sydney and Whitney of Alberta, grandsons, Jamie and Johnny Barry of Newfoundland, her grandson, Adam Boies (Jessica), granddaughter Amber Boies of Doaktown. She is also survived by her brother, Frederick (Velma) Munn of Greenwich Village and sisters, Noreen Nason of Taxis River and Almedia Munn of Holtville, and loving niece Wendy Bentley of Boiestown, also several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her two daughters, Debra Mae and Annie Appelton Boies, two brothers, Edward and Raymond Munn and baby brother at birth, four sisters, Mildred Reid Ruth Munn, Bertha Peterson and Hilda Rice.
There will be no visitation or service. A private family service will be held at a later date. Interment in the Boiestown United Cemetery. Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, NB have been entrusted with her arrangements.
