Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Friday, June 4, 2010, Mr. John J. Fillier of Coley's Point, aged 84 years. Predeceased by parents: John and Agnes Fillier (nee Davis); sisters: Eva, May; brothers: Esau, Ross. Leaving to mourn wife Mary Fillier; sons: Baxter (Ellen) Fillier, Johnny (Betty) Fillier; David (Janice) Fillier, Dennis Fillier, Greg (Wanda) Fillier; daughter: Yvonne Fillier; sisters: Lilly, Maisie; 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore's Funeral Home, Clarke's Beach. Visitation Saturday 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.-12 noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m.; Monday, 10 a.m.-12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Monday, June 7, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Clarke's Beach United Church, Clarke's Beach. Interment in the United Church Cemetery, Bareneed.
