George Harold Funke passed away on December 5, 2008 at the age of 75 years. George was born in Claybank, Saskatchewan, the place he will be returned to rest. George was a real family man who worked in the Oil and Gas industry for over thirty-five years. He was an avid sports fan and animal lover. He leaves behind his wife of forty-four years, Leah Funke, children James (Susan) Funke with grandchildren Megan and Amy and Celeste (Vince) Dods with grandchildren, Logan and Taylor. He is also survived by siblings Margaret Fichter, Peter Funke, Alfred (Angel) Funke, Arnold (Marie) Funke and Jeanette (Robert) Funke-Furber; sister-in-law Rita Funke as well as numerous nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by both of his parents and siblings, Louise Struble, Lawrence Funke and Leona O\'Sullivan. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St Joseph\'s Church in Claybank Saskatchewan. Interment to follow.
