With sadness, the loving family of Cecilia M. (LeBlanc) Green announces her passing on June 7, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 21, 1921 in Saint John to the late Domthilde and Abel LeBlanc, Cecilia was predeceased by her husband of 51 years, Richard. A lifelong resident of Saint John West, Cecilia was a parishioner of St. Jude's Anglican Church, a member of the Hairdressers Association, the Carleton Curling Club, and the Union Club as well as an active member of the Val Cartier Chapter of the IODE. She was a hairdresser for 60 years, doing hair for her many clients out of her home. She enjoyed knitting, boating and wintering in Florida and especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her many friends. Cecilia leaves behind two daughters, Nancy (Ronnie) Ferguson and Betty (David) Losier and one son, George (Debbie) Green as well as eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of Saint John, four sisters, Alice O'Brien, Lea O'Keefe, Barbara Wood and Helen Wood and one brother, Abel LeBlanc as well as many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Leona Stevens and brothers Leo LeBlanc and Gerald Leblanc.
Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701) with visiting on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral Service will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. from St. Jude's Anglican Church. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery. Following the interment a reception will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
