The passing of James "Jim" Edward Johnston of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Monday, June 7, 2010 at the York Manor Nursing Home. Born on October 22, 1964 in Fredericton, NB, he was the son of Dow Johnston and the late Ora (Doane) Johnston. Jim was a graduate of Fredericton High School and Jobs Unlimited. He worked with the Vital Statistics Department of the Provincial Government. He will always be remembered for his larger than life heart and his kind, gentle manner. The family wishes to thank his aunt, Elaine Murdoch for her kindness and love for Jim. In addition to his father, Jim is survived by his two sisters, Cindy Tellerd (Jim) of Oakville, ON and Barb Johnston (Ian Kmec) of Pincourt, QC; nephews, Jeff, Ben and Jackson; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Although there will be no visitation by request, a Celebration of Life will take place at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on June 9, 2010 at 2 pm with Rev. Gil MacKenzie officiating. A reception will follow in the Fireside Room. Interment will take place in Douglas Rural Cemetery.
