FLYNN - The passing of Celina occurred peacefully at Lucky Lake Health Centre on May 21, 2010. She was 90 years of age. Celina will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her husband of 62 years, Martin; her eight children and their families: Michael (Lorraine), Colleen (Eugene), Jim (Cheryl), John (Renee), Terence (Sheryn), Bernard (Sheila), Gerald (Janis) and Kevin (Kim); 21 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. Celina was raised on a farm near Zealandia and developed independence and self-confidence early in life. In 1943, she graduated as a registered nurse Saskatoon and later worked at St. Paul's Hospital. In 1948, she married the love of her life (Martin) and lived on the family farm near Beechy until 1979. They then moved to their home in the town of Beechy and remained until this year. Celina was devoted to her family, to her community and to her faith. Her life revolved around her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and her friends. She received tremendous satisfaction from being involved in their lives. Celina's hobbies included gardening, quilting, crafts and playing cards. She loved to spend time visiting with her numerous friends and family members. Celina was a very optimistic person and even when faced with adversity, she found a way to look at the positive side of life. Celina will continue to live in the hearts of all her family and friends. A celebration of Celina's life was held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Beechy on May 25. Interment took place at Beechy Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Celina's name to the Beechy and Demaine Ambulance Service. Clements Rosetown Funeral Home entrusted with the arrangements.
