Passed suddenly away at the Carbonear General Hospital on June 4, 2010, Mr. Baxter C. Smith of Bishop's Cove, in his 67th year. He is predeceased by his wife Carmelita; parents John and Violet; brothers Fred, Warren and Eric. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are his daughters Judy Whitten (Stewart), Mount Pearl and Jackie Lynch (Graham), Shearstown; grandchildren Jeremy and Tristan; special friend Betty Smith; sisters Clara Coombs (John), Mary Follett (Henry), Shirley Jones (Eleazor), Marjorie Bennett (Colin) and Florence Mercer (Josiah) and a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at the United Church, Harbour Grace on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. In his memory donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the SPCA.
