TRENTON - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Bam. Greta (Diddles) Joyce (Davidson) Smith passed away at home in Trenton on Thursday, June 10, 2010 with her loving family surrounding her. She is now with her loving husband and soul mate of 57 years, Lewis MacKay Smith, who passed away on February 22, 2010. They spent many loving years at their cottage in Locharbour where family and friends were always welcome. She was also predeceased by her daughter Deborah (Smith) Chaisson in 1987, parents Vera (Gratto) and Norman Davidson, brothers: Donald, Francis (DeeDee), Norman (Gargett), Alan (in infancy), Dennis and sister Dorothy (Lamey). She is survived by her son Gary, Trenton; grandchildren: Stan (Jackie), Alberta; J.J., Trenton; Tanya (Frank), Alma; Derek, Halifax; great-grandchildren: Jordan, Jeffrey, Gabbi and Connor. She is also survived by sisters: Audrey George, Pictou; Jean (Sakey) Robertson, Big Bras d'Or; Shirley Ross, Hamilton; Joann MacDonald, Plymouth; Nancy MacLellan, New Glasgow; one brother: Bernard (Larry) Davidson, Hamilton: special niece Karen MacDonald, as well as many other nieces and nephews on both sides of her family. In keeping with Bam's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation. Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens at a later date. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
