The death of William "Bill" Camlin, loving husband of Nan (Grant) Camlin occurred on Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in Scotland he was the son of the late John and Mary (Sanderson) Camlin. Before coming to Canada he worked for the Grangemouth Dockyard Co. Ltd. as a Shell Templater and then worked for the Saint John Shipbuilding and Dry Dock Co. Ltd. as a Draughtsman and Production Technician before joining Transport Canada (Canadian Coast Guard) as a Marine Surveyor (Steamship Inspector). He enjoyed spending time with his family. Besides his loving wife Nan of 55 years, he is survived by his son Craig Camlin of Toronto, daughters Jean-Marie Williams (David) of Quispamsis and Krista Gowland (Douglas) of Calgary, AB; four grandchildren Erin and Jeremy Williams and Britt and Grant Gowland; sister Margaret Rankine of Scotland.
By request there will be no visitations. A Memorial Service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, June 18, 2010 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Fernhill Cemetery.
