J. Marin Garcia, of Rothesay, NB, husband of Lucia (Damil Pena) Garcia, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on June 14, 2010. He was born in Santander, Spain and was the son of the late Felipe and Carmen (Garcia) Marin. He was a master cabinetmaker. Besides his wife, Lucia, Marin is survived by three sons: Francisco (Gabriela) of Stratham, NH; Felipe (Maura) of Rothesay; Gustavo of Vancouver, BC; one sister, Gloria of Spain. "Abuelo" will be dearly missed by his four beloved grandchildren: Natalie, Felipe, Liam and Timothy.
Visitation will be held at Brenan's Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John, N.B. (506-634-7424) on Thursday, June 17th, 2010 from 7:00 to 9:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, June 18, 2010 from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, at 1:00 pm. Interment will take place in Spain at a later date.
