It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our brother, uncle and friend, Richard Tudor, age 75, on Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Northside General Hospital, North Sydney.
Born in Sydney, Richard was the son of the late William and Sarah (Dicks) Tudor. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Canadian Army. Richard worked with the Corps of Commissionaire and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #53 in Baddeck. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, North Sydney.
He is survived by his sister Cedella (Ronald) (Tudor) Rooth, Sydney and his brother John (Sharon) Walsh, Georges River and many nieces and nephews and his good friend Betty Simpson.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by three children Richard, Ronald and Sam and by his companion Bertha Donovan.
Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Friday at the W.J. Dooley Funeral Home, 107 Pleasant St., North Sydney. A funeral service for Richard will be held 11 a.m. Friday in the Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Gloria McClure-Fraser officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
