GIBBS
Mildred Gibbs passed away peacefully May 13, 2009. Born Mildred Kathleen Halstrom on February 11, 1932 at Central Butte, SK, Millie moved with her family to Moose Jaw in 1951 where she lived until her passing. She married Kenneth Gibbs in 1955. After staying at home raising her family, she was employed for many years with Moose Jaw Home Care. This was an accomplishment she was very proud of. In her later years she enjoyed chatting with friends, playing shuffle board and attending church. Predeceased by her parents, George and Leila Halstrom, sister Margaret Willson and her children’s father Ken Gibbs, she is survived by her son Dale Gibbs of Moose Jaw, daughters Carol (Brian) Miller of Moose Jaw, and Pat (Dan) Dube of Calgary; brother Ron (Eleanor) Halstrom of Moose Jaw; grandchildren, William Mitchell of Edmonton and Sam and Alicia Dube of Calgary. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbours. The Celebration of Millie’s life will be held at W.J.Jones & Son Chapel on Saturday May 16, 2009 at 10:00 am. Della Ferguson will officiate. Memorialization will follow at Sunset Cemetery. Memorials to a charity of choice, would be appreciated.
