Barbara was born on March 19, 1951 in Prince Albert, SK. She married the love of her life Duncan Fraser of Debden, SK on June 10, 1967 and they had four children – 2 daughters and 2 sons. In 1977 she began a new life when she moved to Calgary, Alberta, where she attended school and worked for several years. She enjoyed people, going for coffee, music, writing letters, modeling and the relationship she had with her children. Barbara Fiddler leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Shelley Fraser of Calgary, AB, Steve (Tammy) of Saskatoon, SK, and Terry (Donna) of Calgary, AB; her grandchildren Amanda and Taylor Fraser; her brothers Alfred (Donalda) of Vancouver, BC, Walter of Prince Albert, SK, Larry (Beatrice) of Prince Albert, SK and Floyd (Sophie) of Saskatoon, SK; her sister Jennie Kammer of Parksville, BC; her half brothers Wayne (Tammy) of Prince Albert, SK and Brandon (Lisa) of Prince Albert, SK; her half sisters Sheila Fiddler of Prince Albert, SK, Brenda (Otar) of Saskatoon, SK and Dawn Fiddler of Saskatoon, SK; her foster sister Doris (Mike) Struhart of Prince Albert, SK; and her foster brother Luc (Olga) of Vancouver, BC. She is predeceased by her daughter Tracey Fraser, her parents Alfred and Margaret (nee Vermette) Fiddler, her step-mother Vivian; foster parents Charles and Flora Doré, her sisters Linda Fiddler, Diane St. Denis and Regina, her brothers Charles, Clifford, Kid-Roger, Curly, Johnny and Walter. She will always be remembered as a kind and generous person. Special thanks to the Herb Bassett Home-Golden Hills “Special Nurses” Lorraine, Jolyn, Donna and Evelyn, all the nursing staff and Dr. Rye for the compassion and care they gave our mom during her residency there. Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Gray’s Funeral Chapel, 575 – 28th Street West, Prince Albert, SK with Margaret Ferchuk officiating. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday May 15, 2009 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 1401 – 4th Avenue West, Prince Albert, SK with celebrant Reverend Father Maurice Fiolleau. Interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to the Charity of Donor’s Choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.grays.ca.
