Passed peacefully away at Hoyles Escasoni Complex on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at age 73 years after a battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Leaving with fond and loving memories, wife Rose (Compton); daughter Valerie, son-in-law Boyd Hillier and grandson Nicholas; brother Richard Burry (Jean), Whitby, ON; sisters: Mona Burt (Aubrey), Gambo, NL, Eva Roberts (Nate), Whitby, ON, and Gladys Wheaton (Ross), Fredrickton, NL; sister-in-law Ruby Parsons, Toronto, ON and a large circle of family and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15 and 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 16. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, May 17 at 2:30 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Adam’s Avenue with interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Blackmarsh Road.
