Connors, John Phillip -February 14, 1949 - April 30, 2010. Surrounded by family, at the Trillium hospital in Toronto, after a courageous battle with cancer, on April 30, John passed away, at the age of 61. Born in Truro, he grew up in Shubenacadie East, later lived in Stewiacke and Dartmouth, before moving to Toronto in 1981. John was the son of the late Charles and Kathleen (Reynolds) Connors. Beloved brother of Margaret Blake, Truro; Eleanor (Warren Brown), Halifax; Betty (Tom Haight), Lower Sackville; Pat (Gerry Bester), Toronto; brothers, Jim (Mary), Truro; Doug (Lucy), Brentwood; sister-in-law, Betty Connors, Truro Heights; brother-in-law, Peter Hanratty, Halifax. He was predeceased by sisters, Frances and Bertha; brother Edward and brother-in-law William Blake. Beloved "Uncle John" to seven nephews and nine nieces. Johns ashes will be brought home and laid to rest beside his sister Frances. A mass and burial service will be held in Enfield, at St. Bernards catholic church and church cemetery, at 1 pm on Saturday, June 26, followed by a reception at 2 pm (next door) at the Enfield fire hall.
