Marion May Harvey (Bennett) of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Earle Harvey, passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on Thursday, June 17, 2010 after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. She was born on August 28, 1930, and was raised in Cross Creek, NB, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Lottie (Anthony) Bennett. Her first priority was always her family, gathering them for dinners when everyone was together. She loved crosswords, teddy bears, knitting, and most importantly - dancing. She looked forward to the Legion dances which she attended often with special friends Betty and Ted. Marion always enjoyed daily chats with her long-time friends Peggy and Althea. She was a community grandmother, known as Nanny H by many. Always with cold hands and a warm heart, she took care of others throughout her nursing career, including her own family. Marion, always the confident caring soul, worked with her dear friend Dr. Lacey at the Stanley Villa. Remembering her with love in their hearts and admiration for her courage are her daughter, Diane; her pumpkins, Shawna (Terry), Nicole (Sean); great-grandson, Chase; brothers, Harry and Eddie; several nieces and nephews; grand-doggies, Ellie, Riley and Kayle. Besides her husband and parents, Marion was predeceased by her son-in-law, Gerry. Sincere thanks and gratitude to the 4NW floor staff for making the final months of her life filled with their wonderful nursing care. Special thanks to Helen for her incredible love and kindness. Thank you for making the final days Marion shared with her family peaceful and filled with love and support.

Eastern Star will hold a tribute service followed by a Requiem Mass at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Cross Creek, NB on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 11 am with Father Ian Wetmore as celebrant.
