July 1, 1963 - May 12, 2009 - 45, Grand Lake, died tragically in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, May 12, 2009. Born in Halifax, July 1, 1963, his is the son of Rev. Eliza "Lisa" (Grandy) Potter and the late LCOL Glen Arthur Potter. Mark is also survived by his loving wife Sandy (Windsor-Brown); daughter Jenna; son Aaron; sister Joy Potter (Marcel Demore) and niece Courtney Glen Demore, all of Fall River; father-in-law Harry Brown, Newfoundland and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mark was looking forward to the birth of his third child in October. After graduating from community college with a certificate in pipefitting, Mark quickly rose to the top of his field as a pipe welder. Mark started his own business and with hard work and many long hours he made it a huge success. He worked all across Canada and was very well-known in the pipe-welding industry. He had great love for this family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, boating, biking and spending time in his garage with his friends. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today in Atlantic Funeral Home, 125 Sackville Dr., Lower Sackville. A celebration of Mark's life will be held 3 p.m. Friday, May 15 in St. John's United Church, Fall River, Rev. Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception to take place in St. John's United Church Hall.
