1944 - 2010 - Shediac - Johnny Pellerin, 66, passed away peacefully at the Moncton City Hospital, surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, June 19th after a brief illness. Born in Shediac on January 26, 1944, he was the son of the late John and Mélindé (LeBlanc) Pellerin. Johnny worked voluntary as controller at the Boishébert Club in Shediac for about 15 years. He worked for Via Rail for 33 years. He was an exceptional man; very devoted, especially to his family, also very passionate and enjoyed teasing people. He enjoyed his retirement during 12 years by going on trips with his wife, looking through the internet for information, enjoyed following his favorite teams: Maple Leafs and Blue Jays. Johnny will sadly be missed by his wife Aurella (Bourque); two daughters, France Allain (Réjean) of Shediac, Isabelle Pellerin Gray (Jean-Charles) of Moncton; two grandchildren, Alexi and Kamie Allain; two sisters, Dorina Cormier (Andy) of Shediac, Exelda Plourde (late Phil) of USA; two brothers, Alphée (Rita) , Paul (Marie) both of Shediac; also several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Léonce and Normand.
Visitation will be held at Passage in Shediac Bridge on Wednesday, June 23, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the St-Joseph RC Church in Shediac on Thursday, June 24 at 2 pm. No visitations on Thursday. Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
