Peacefully at the home of his son and daughter-in-law in Mermaid on Friday, May 15, 2009, of William H. Robb, formerly of Charlottetown and North Vancouver, B.C. Survived by his son, Andrew and daughter-in-law, Deena of Mermaid, and his granddaughter, Lindsay Robb of Montreal. He was predeceased by his wife, Edythe McTaggart Robb in 1988. He was 100 years old. A retired federal civil servant who served with the RCAF during the Second World War, he was an active volunteer, teaching English as a second language, working in the scouting movement, the Canadian Arthritis and Rheumatism Society and a number of seniors groups in North Vancouver. He was especially devoted to the North Vancouver Lawn Bowling Club. By personal request there will be no service or memorial. If so desired, memorial donations may be made to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation. Cremation arrangements entrusted to the Hillboro Funeral Home.
