Max Kanner 93, of The Briarlea, Moncton and formerly of Riverview and Upper Coverdale, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, June 20, 2010. Born in Chatham, NB, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Rebecca (Fransblow) Kanner. Max was a self employed painter and paper hanger, member of Tiferes Israel Synagogue, he enjoyed music, bowling, dancing and playing cards. Max will be sadly missed by his sons, Ken (Pauline), Moncton; James (Marjorie), Milby, PQ; grandchildren, Joanne, Craig, Heather, Elliott, Mathew and Emily; great grandchildren, Logan, Rebecca, Rachel and Lily; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased the mother of his children, Lillian (Elliott) Kanner (1988), infant son, William, five sisters and five brothers. Max was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Funeral Service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995), Monday June 21, 2010, 1:00pm. Rabbi Yagod officiating. Interment, Tiferes Israel Cemetery, Chartersville, NB.
