It is with great sadness that we mourn the passing of our dear and loving mother, Marjorie McIntyre, age 86. Marjorie passed away Saturday, May 16, 2009, at the Glace Bay Health Care Facility.
Born in Amherst, N.S., she was the daughter of the late Laura Young. Marjorie was an active member of St. Vincent de Paul which she enjoyed very much. Her home was a place where you enjoyed a ‘good cup of tea’ and her home-made tea biscuits.
Marjorie leaves behind four loving children, daughters, Diane (Angus McVicar) Margaret (Will Higgins); sons, Wayne (Marie), Malcolm (Candida), eight cherished grandchildren and eight cherished great-grandchildren.
Besides her mother, Marjorie was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Malcolm McIntyre.
Visitation for Marjorie McIntyre will be held Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport. Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.
