DUNN: Alva Leroy
Surrounded by his family, Alva L. Dunn of Estey's Bridge, NB passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital at the age of 74. Born in Blowdown (Hainesville), N.B., he was a son of the late William and Marguerite "Mae" (Carten) Dunn. Alva was a brother of the Jehovah's Witnesses, and a Woodsworker all his life.
The last surviving member of his immediate family, he leaves to mourn his wife of over fifty years Madeline (Hanson) Dunn; children Janice Naugler (Roger), Tim Dunn (Cindy), Linda Nash all of Fredericton, Gary Dunn (Emma) of Lethbridge, AB, gale Nash (Scot Peterson) of Fredericton, Troy Dunn (Ilea) of Calgary, AB; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by granddaughter Shannon; son in law Gordon; brothers Ron, Tom and two infant brothers; sisters Jean and Winnifred.
The family will receive friends at Bishop's Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton, N.B. where visitation will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM and Friday June 25, 2010 from 7-9 PM The funeral service will be held Wednesday June 30, 2010 at 2:00 PM from the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 1045 St. Mary's Street with son Gary Dunn and Claude Gilks speaking. Interment will be private.
