1918 - 2010 - Sybil Isobel Strong, nee Reynolds, passed away on June 23, 2010 at home in Sussex Corner, NB. Our Mom was born to Evelyn and Marshall Reynolds on April 16th, 1918, in Montague, P.E.I. After graduating from school in Montague, she attended Prince of Wales College, and taught at the Montague School. In 1938 she met and married our Dad - Lionel, a Mountie in Montague. Being in the R.C.M.P., Mom and Dad lived in Montague, Charlottetown, and Souris, P.E.I. The family moved to Perth, NB and then Moncton, where Mom and Dad retired in 1958. Summers were spent in P.E.I. and winters in Moncton. She spent many hours involved with St. James Anglican Church, Girl Guides and her painting groups. Our Mom will be missed by one sister Rena Harris, sister-in-law Hilde Reynolds, her son Larry - Florence, two daughters Sandy - Lee Allain and Heather - Blake Fullerton; 11 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Mom was predeceased by her husband Lionel, a daughter Sheila and two brothers, Sandy and Glenn.
Visitation will be held at Fair Haven Funeral Home on Friday, June 25th from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place at St. James Anglican Church, 101 Fairview Dr. Moncton, at 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 26th, 2010. Family flowers only. A reception will follow the service in the Garden View Room of Fair Haven Funeral Home. Interment in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
