Cyrille Colette, 96, of Foyer Saint-Antoine and formerly of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. Born on April 2, 1914 in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Euclide and Bella (Gosselin) Collette. Before his retirement, Cyrille was employed at CN, and also a veteran of the Second World War. He is survived by one son, Léandre of Worchester, MA; one son-in-law, Gérald Savoie of Moncton; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Dorina (Bastarache); his daughter, Simonne Savoie and his four sisters: Rita, Juliette, Lina and Sister Aurore. By request, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Frenette's Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Tuesday, June 29, 2010 at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery, Dieppe. In memory of Cyrille, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
